Week 10

Monday 05/03/12

Back at work again this morning. I needed to stay longer today to catch up on some work so I didn't have much of a break. I had such a sleepy, brainless morning that when I was organising everything Hannah would need at Aunty Sarahs, I forgot her lunch.
After Hannah's morning sleep (9:20 till 12:30!!!) Aunty Sarah drove Hannah home in my car and they spent the rest of the afternoon here until 3. Unfortunately because she had such a long morning sleep she didn't sleep too well in the afternoon and Sarah had to take her for a drive to help her sleep.
After a milk feed I got Hannah ready for her swimming lesson. The picture below is from before we left the house. We were waiting for Daddy to get ready so we could leave and I thought I'd take a picture or 10 =P

Jake and I quickly washed, changed and fed Hannah after swimming so I could go to the movies with Aunty Shaan. We saw The Vow which was actually really great. I love movies where they don't have to add inappropriate content to make it sell.

Tuesday 06/03/12

Hannah had an early night the night before so she woke up early and because of the Clipsal 500, Jake had the day off work which meant that he didn't get much of a sleep in when Hannah started to cry. Poor thing.
Originally Hannah and I were going to visit a friend at Christies Beach today but she was feeling a bit under the weather so we moved our visit to next week. Instead we had a lazy day around the house with Daddy.
Hannah also got to go out with Daddy to visit our friends, Ian and Jenny who recently had a baby girl, Matilda.

Wednesday 07/03/12

While we didn't do much in the way of important things today Hannah and I had lots of fun out in the garden. The weather has been a gorgeous 27 degrees and just perfect for outside! I started by mowing our lawns while Jake took Hannah for a walk in the pram. After they got back Hannah played with Mortimer and some weeds [nice ones] while I pulled them out and put them in the bin ready for collection tomorrow. She had a lot of fun!

Daddy came to collect Hannah for dinner

Camera shy, Daddy =)

After dinner entertainment. I love how pleased she is by simple things.
Just a normal night for Hannah after that. I had a meeting at a friends house once I put her down and that's about it.

Thursday 08/03/12

Today Hannah and I went to the park. Originally I had invited some friends to come also but they were unable to attend, so we went alone. Hannah loved looking at all the birds and it was so much fun to watch her be fascinated but the simplest things.

Her head looks HUGE!

She's getting so good at sitting.

Playing with Mummy's water

She loves to grab my phone.
We really needed to go food shopping so after Daddy got home from work Hannah and I went shopping. Everyone loved her and asked me how old she was and told me she was gorgeous. .. Of course! I also played a trick on her while we were waiting at the Deli but she was too interested in everything and everyone to pay any attention to it. =)

Hannah at lunch time.

Yes, that's my Deli ticket on her ear.

Hehe. I'm not sure if I'm mean or just fun.

Friday 09/03/12

I had work this morning and Hannah went to Aunty Sarahs again. Today we tried Hannah on some formula while I was at work (she wont drink breast milk from a bottle) but she just wont have anything to do with it. On days that I work I normally switch her milk feed around with her solids so I can stay longer at work but I thought that we might try some formula. We'll just have to try again I guess.
Our night was just average/typical although Daddy stayed late at work tonight and did some more overtime. We missed him a lot.

Saturday 10/03/12

Daddy worked some over time today so it was pretty lonely for us. I was however watching Hannah play on her tummy and thought that I might try and see if she would move. I placed some toys in front of her and got my camera out. To my absolute astonishment - she moved. And I caught it on camera =) I don't know how to load videos though so below are just some pictures from before I started recording.

Hannah before I decided to entice her

Eye on the prize!

She moves after this picture. That's when I started recording =) Perfect.
Hannah woke up early from her afternoon nap which meant I had to stop gardening and fix her up. I also hadn't had lunch at this point so I decided to cook myself a hot dog. Silly me actually cut my little finger pretty badly while I was cutting my roll. I didn't panic though! I put pressure on it and continued to make my lunch =)
When Daddy got home Hannah was pretty grumpy from not much sleep so I decided that we would go for a drive to get her to sleep some more. I was originally going to look at some Display Homes in the area so I basically did that - just only the outside of the houses. Hannah had a good sleep though. After our drive it was back home, dinner and bed for Hannah.
Jake scooted over to his friends place for a game that night but on his way home ran out of petrol at 11 o'clock at night. He walked his scooter home. It didn't take him too long but I still think it's funny. Poor Husband.
Here are some more pictures from earlier today. I love her little face!

Sunday 11/03/12

Another normal Sunday! Church in the morning and a simple, quite afternoon. I made some more purée foods for Hannah and we played but that's about all.
Below is a picture from Church. We were singing the closing Hymn in Relief Society and Hannah was holding the book like she was reading it. I took a few pictures but this was the only one that turned out right. She kept moving to grab my phone and the others are a bit blurry.

What a week. .. I hope you enjoyed reading about it.

Week 9

(Pictures at the bottom)
Monday 27/02/12

Today I had work in the morning. Hannah went over Nana Pilkington's place so Aunt Sarah could watch her. Aunty Ruth was looking after her for the second half of the morning so Sarah could take Mum and Dad to the airport and when I got home I found Hannah playing with her cousin Xavier on Aunty Ruths tummy with a car in her hands. As per normal when she saw me and registered who I was she started to whinge for me to feed her. So much for her loving me for my personality =)
Fortunately when we got home she then slept for 2 hours (a rarity up until recently) and Daddy had to actually wake her up so we wouldn't be late for her swimming lesson.
She is loving her swimming lessons at the moment. I'm not sure if she knew what was coming but as soon as we got out of the car she started to squeal happily and she did some squealing during the lesson too. Most of the lesson the younger babies look confused and it's really funny to watch.
Before we put the babies under water we count to three and blow on their faces. It's meant to get them to close off their air ways but for some reason Hannah never wants to close her mouth. Sometimes it takes me a few tries before I can even put her under but she seems to be getting used to going under now.

Tuesday 28/02/12

Nothing of note for today really. We spent some time outside watching it rain and she slept really well (4 hours!!) but that's about all. I LOVE when she sleeps! I actually feel like I get some cleaning done! =)
After Hannah went to bed I picked my friend, Lisa up so we could do our Visiting Teaching. We had so much fun chatting with Sariah that I didn't get home till after 11. Jake was worried and sent me a message which was cute. At least I know he loves me.

Wednesday 29/02/12

This morning we were off to the doctors. I've recently started jogging and somehow (and it's never happened previously) I managed to hurt both my knees and both my ankles. They just started hurting for no reason at all and I've since had a slight limp and most definitely can't walk fast or run without being in pain.
My visit went well. He explained what was wrong with some pictures but I can not remember what it is called. Basically there's something in my knees that stops my muscles and tendons rubbing on my bone but it's not doing it's job properly. I just have to rest it till it gets better.
Jake had to go to the dentist after work so Hannah and I visited Aunt Sarah and that's about all.

Thursday 01/03/12

I have developed a mild cold so Hannah and I took it easy today.

Friday 02/03/12

Today Jake was lucky enough to have a day off! Unfortunately he didn't get much of a rest as he volunteered to look after Hannah while I went in to work. He's such a great Daddy! They played lots and went outside to look at the trees.
Hannah went to bed early tonight so that I could go out for dinner and say goodbye to my Aunty Jenny. There were about 8 of us from Playford Ward and it was lots of fun. We're going to miss her. (She's moved to Sydney for some job experience she can't get here).

Saturday 03/03/12

Some days are hectic and today was no exception! Jake went in to work because they were a bit behind and Hannah and I started our day slowly like every other. In the afternoon though things got busy! Sarah and her friend came over about lunch time and we went to a park and ate some lunch. Hannah loves it outside! So many things to see and touch. She's getting so interested in the world around her. Sometimes it's hard to prevent her from lunging out of your arms!
After lunch and a bit of a nap we went to the shops to see Aunty Ruth and do some much needed grocery shopping. Aunty Ruth bought Hannah a bib with Odie (from Garfield) on it! It's very cute and Hannah had lots of fun smiling at everyone but we couldn't stay long because Jake, Hannah and I had been invited over to a friends place for dinner.
Hannah was a huge hit with our friends, Leana and Jeremy's, kids. They have three - Asher 5, Caitlin 4, and Xavier 5 months. Asher and Caitlin love Jake and were super keen to show him some tricks on the trampoline. Hannah even got a shot on their baby swing! First time ever and she really seemed to enjoy it so I'm thinking it's about time I buy one for her =)

Sunday 04/03/12

Sunday! We did our usual thing at church today so not really much to report about that.
After Hannah's afternoon nap and feed we drove over to Nana and Grandad Lamey's house for dinner. It's hilarious how scared Hannah gets when the doggy is around but the poor thing breaks my heart every time she panics about him. When I'm not holding her I have to stop myself from grabbing her! It's hard. Oli spent a lot of our time there outside and I feel sorry for the poor thing. Some of the time Hannah is OK with him and then all of a sudden she's not. She definitely doesn't like when he's too close. I hope she gets over it - We can't have her afraid of dogs, especially as Oli is her Grandad's baby!

Here are some pictures from the week. We do much the same thing each day so sorry if they seem a little same, same.

She kept trying to grab the camera

I'm not really sure what happened here but !! Hehe. I love it.

She loves Kitty! Kitty will even let Hannah grab her for a while.

Week 6

We've had a busy week this week. It's funny how your day can fill up with nothing and everything. Having a child is definitely more time consuming then I had originally thought. .. She's worth it though.

Last Sunday we went to church in the morning. For those who are interested I'm no longer teaching my class. (12-13 year old youth). I was technically just volunteering until a new teacher was called but I'm still a bit sad that I'm no longer teaching. I do still sit in on the classes to help out though so I don't miss my kiddies just yet.
After Church we basically had a lazy day at home. Below is a picture of Jake and Hannah reading a book and playing with Jerry before bed.

Monday Jake was back at work and Hannah and I, back to our busy life of waking, feeding, playing, feeding, playing and sleeping. Monday's do have the added bonus of swimming lessons though! It was just Hannah and I this week so no pictures but Hannah did go under the water.
The lessons are so much fun! I've been singing a few of the songs like "Wheels on the Bus" and "Up Jumped the Scarecrow" while Hannah has been eating. It's a good way to get her to look up when I'm trying to put food in her mouth. She tends to want to look down.

Oh! Monday we also got her 6 month immunisations done. While we were there a CYH nurse also did a check up. Hannah currently weighs in at 6.395 kgs and is 65.5cms.Tall and skinny.
Here she is, working on sitting up.

We had an exciting day on Tuesday. Hannah and I went into Aunt Shaan's work to have some lunch. We went to the Cafe near her work with a colleague/friend of hers, Trudy, who is very pregnant. It was great and we really enjoyed seeing our favourite Aunty Shaan, not to mention the Cafe had really nice food.

Two pretty girls

That afternoon Jake and Hannah dropped me off at the bike store so I could pick up my new road bike. I love it so much!

Sorry but I don't recall what Hannah and I did on Wednesday. I think we just had a quiet one at home. I do know that I took my new bike out that night for a practise (cleats are difficult to get the hang of).
Below is a picture of Hannah practising her sitting while playing with Daddy Bear.

For lunch on Thursday Hannah and I went out to the Midway Tavern for a friends 50th. There were about 8 of us and it was really nice.
Hannah and Jerry on the "playstation" or as I like to call it "the babysitter". It's handy for when she wakes up early from her sleeps and I'm in the middle of a chore -

She scared Jerry away =)

On Friday I went shopping in the afternoon while Hannah slept at Nana Pilkington's house. That evening she ate and played with Aunt Sarah, Nana and Grandad while Jake and I attended a Sealing in the Adelaide Temple for some good friends of ours, Chris and Carolyn Castle and their daughters, Charlotte and Olivia. The girls looked beautiful and it was so beautiful. It's nice to remember.
After we picked up Hannah and I had put her to bed I got a chance to ride my bike! I rode about 10ks, around Holdens and back. It was great to get back on the bike but it's going to take some effort to get fit again =)

Saturday Hannah spent a lot of the day playing with her Daddy so I could do some more shopping. They read some books, sang and danced and played with some blocks.
Jake and I had Leadership Training in the afternoon for Church and then after Hannah had gone to bed we went to an engagement party for a friend of mine from school. We didn't know anyone there as I was the only friend from school she had invited but we managed. It was nice to do something fancy together. We haven't had a chance for a while and it's nice to get dressed up.

So, that was our week. I hope you enjoyed it because I hope to write about our weeks more. If you don't want to read it all that's fine - I hope to include enough pictures to keep you entertained.
Love you all!
